High protection against water and oil ingress is guaranteed due to the special resin gaskets strategically placed at each internal connection point. The water resistance performance meets with IP68 rating, allowing the connector to withstand submergence in a 2 meter water depth for 14 days in its mated condition.

The secure strain relief can be assembled on to the cable in one simple step. The internal clamp securely anchors the gasket to give maximum resistance against cable wrenching forces. The cable can exit the rear of the plug in eight different directions in 45° increments to offer versatile design flexibility.

Ideal applications are machine tools, servomotor’s and measurement and control devices. The HR34B series is compaliant to JAEs JN2 series. Fanuc uses this kind of connectors for servomotors.

  • It can accept high current, 75A DC, and open a circuit quickly by receiving signal-current.
  • It can open a circuit quickly, within 60 sec. at room temperature by low signal current, below 1.5A.
  • Resistor portion is connected to fuse portion electrically and it can cut off the both portions simultaneously.

3.96mm Pitch, 15A High Current, Board to Wire Connector

  • designed with space saving in mind. The three position header for example, only occupies 88mm2 approximate board space due to the small pitch.
  • Secure locking is guaranteed by the robust lock that gives a clear tactile click when mated. This confirms the connector is fully engaged guaranteeing complete electrical and mechanical connection.
  • The lock is on the centre of thehousing to avoid uneven locking and cable entanglement which is common with side locks.
  • Multiple connectors can be mounted closer together side by side.

The header features square male pin contacts that have a wide conductive surface area (1.14mm each side) to carry the high current. Each contact is protected by housing walls to prevent them from short circuits and being touched. The cable mount female socket housing utilises crimp contacts that have a unique internal multi-point contact structure to ensure good contact wipe and high contact reliability.

The design of the housing base is tapered to allow resin sealing up to 5mm high. The resin stopper which is a step underneath the lock, stops the resin rising too far.

A waterproof version of this connector range is now available known as the DF63W series.
